F10-3 ..... got a hunch! ..... back in mid-70s (+/-) we recognized an old gentlemen who was maybe in his 90s at the time who had been a member of some of our earliest football teams. His name was D.Y. Dunn (we have him on lettermen's list as 1914-16) ..... we have a pic somewhere of Dunn from the back waving to Smith Stadium crowd in a jersey-type shirt with his name on the back ..... I was in press box all day and did not meet the gentleman (or see him up close), but my best educated guess is that this person and D.Y. Dunn are one-and-the-same! ..... I suggest you might run the pic past Dr. Dero Downing -- in fact, we really need to get Dr. Downing to sit down with a bunch of these photos!

F3016-1 ..... ID info you have is correct -- Oldham is Athletics Director, Minton is University VP and Chairman of Faculty Athletic Committee (as it was know at the time) and Feix was head Football Coach ..... recognition of football team at a home men's basketball game ..... big trophy is Ohio Valley Conference Championship trophy; plaque in Feix' hand appears to be an OVC All-Conference Award ..... and, all 3 athletes were All-OVC picks in '78 -- Reginald Hayden at left, then John Hall and Tony Towns at right.
